Who can delete an account
The account owner, the person who registered the organization, can delete the account at any time. Deleting it removes the organization and all its data.
Team members the owner added can't delete the organization. To have your login removed, ask the account owner: they can delete it on the Users page.
Residents of a PG or hostel don't have a My Thikanas login. To have your details removed, ask your PG or hostel, or write to us.

What is deleted
Everything that belongs to your organization is deleted straight away and can't be restored:
- Properties, rooms, beds, tenants, tenancies and KYC records
- Invoices, payments, deposits, payment links and payment settings
- Complaints, inquiries, expenses and tenant invitations
- Users, roles and permissions, signup records
- Subscriptions and plan payment history
- Uploaded files: documents, logo, favicon and payment QR codes
- Your website and its address
What we keep
- Nothing from your organization stays in our database.
- Server logs, which can include sign-in records such as your email address, are kept for a limited time and then deleted.
- Database backups made before the deletion may still contain your data until those backups are deleted.
- Payment records held by our payment partner (Razorpay) are kept by them under their own policy.
